Hi all,

My first proper overclock now I have a Arctic Freezer Pro.

Chip - Original AMD X2 6000 @ 3Ghz
Motherboard - MSI M3N78
Memory - OCZ 4GB (2x2GB) PC2-6400C5 Dual Channel Vista Gold Series

Before I had the new cooler I had everything running at stock and idle temps were 1st core 40c and 2nd 37c and hit around 65c on max load.

The Overclock!

Turned off AMD Cool & Quiet in bios
Set CPU to Manual Overclock
Gradually upped CPU Frequency to 230.
Everything else Auto

New Settings for chip

Chip - AMD X2 6000 @ 3468Ghz

Idle temps 30c and 25c and max load (Well most I do on PC) 50c

Does this look ok or is there something else I should do? Or should I try for more?

Thanks all

Ok it wasnt stable as I thought but since then I have dropped the clock to 220x15 = AMD 6000 @ 3300Mhz

I also upped the ram voltage to 2.1v.

Question is can I now lower the ram timings from the above image?

You wont get much further with that chip, they are notoriously bad for overclocking. But if it's stable at 3.3, then why not.
