Is this an upgrade Audigy 2 ZS OEM > 2 Platinum eX

Ive just seen the eX on ocers.. and what a bargain.. that external unit would be of benefit to me...

I have recently got an OEM 2zs.. and am wondering whether to get shot in favour of the eX... but is the 2zs actually a better card??

Where does the zs come in the pecking order of audigy cards???

Any advice would be great...

No real difference the zs just adds 7.1 speaker support. Ive got the eX and its an excellent card.

Very high. But not higher than the Platinum Ex really.

The daddy of the Audigy cards is the Audigy 4 Pro, not to be confused with the non pro-version. I am not sure if the Audigy 2 Platinum has improved DAC compared to the A2ZS, but I don't see it sounding worse.
