Another Q6600 for pure gaming ? ehhh... I'm too tired to go over this again ;p.

And yes, it will work just fine, it says on the mobo as well that is has PCI-E clearly there.

I would also get some good cooling for it like Tuniq Tower since I guess you're going to OC it.

not gona be overclocking anything

just want it to be stable and able to run all games at max :D

will this be able to do that? :(

Watch your language.

Too bad for Q6600 to be any good he needs to clock it at least 3.4-3.6, and doesnt seem like he will.

AoC is not really CPU demanding ;], so I guess most of the games.

And my point still is that by the time games do TRUELY support quads, not by just 5-10%, this CPU will be already too old and crap to run anything.

Since last 1 or 2 years, it is a lot better now with PCs to buy the best what u can for NOW and upgrade later, don't buy stuff just because u might use it in 2years.

I would better get faster and better for now dual, and then when apps finally will support all four cores to their full potential, grab some new technology.
Trust me in 1year the current quads will be just old and will need to be changed for xyz technology reason.

You gonna say, damn, this quad is too slow, i have to buy nehalem 4.5ghz and OC it to 6. and get pair of DDR4 ram and radeon 6780.

The times when you bought PC and could happily use it for 3years, 4 years, 5, even 6 are over. The new stuff is coming now so fast that its pretty much advised to change stuff every year, if u've spend 1,5k then maybe 2years but last half year will be on low details already.
