Is this bad for my screen?

Hi guys,

Fancied a change and some of my desk space back so i removed the stand from my TTf and have it like so...

Screen.jpg

The reason for this was because it has a massive circular base which was begining to annoy me. Its simlpey resting on my desk and leaning against my wall.

A friend seems to think this is bad for the screen? Its tilted in the same position as if it were on the stand. All the input and power cables arent pushing on the sockets and are well clear of the base of the desk. The frame/boarder isnt bending and is pritty sturdy.

What do you guys think? Are they chatting brown stuff?

Thanks

I would have thought just make sure of 2 things,
A) it won't fall over ;)
B) there are no air vents blocked on the bottom.

Can't see it being a major problem though.

Exactly the same TFT as I have, does it suffer from back light blead at all ?? Mine is terrible, I can't play Far Cry because of it :(

Yeh it wont fall over in a hurry, will fit some rubber feet to it to stop it slipping.

Fit some rubber feet to the speakers whilst you're at it.

Already has some on it, just cant see that its raised about 1-2 mm up in that photo ;)

Unfortunatley i dont use it a lot for gaming. Used it a few times for BF2. It probaly does if it was a particular problem with this model. Other than that theres nothing that caught my eye while ive been using it.

Why not use a wall mounted bracket? that way you can move the screen around and move it towards you if needed.

I dont want to have to fix it to the wall. I thougt about a similar method where the bracket clips onto the desk, but this takes up less space and looks tidier. Cheaper too!.
