Hey guys,

today I played CS GO for the first time in a while..and although for the most part it is maxing out at the 300FPS limit, now and again im getting a stutter for a micro second or so..

Is this the screen "tearing" because I am on a Freesync monitor on a green team GPU (1070)?

Cheers.

Are you seeing an actual horizontal tear? Tearing is where the top part is not aligned with the bottom part of the image. It's not lag.

If it's just a stutter, there are many potential reasons. Other apps in the background, lag, server lag, etc.

Are you testing on exactly the same system, but just with a different monitor?

It's a fairly new system, but other demanding games such as bf1 and doom show no such issues? And I do have some apps running in the background, but like I said the issue appears to be only in cs go, so far anyways..

Can you clarify the issues as per my first question?

Also did you previously play on a g-sync monitor? Otherwise why do you ask if its g-sync related?

no, i did however have a previous AMD card, that ran on a freesync monitor, and the issue was never present, and it was not as powerful as my current GTX 1070 card.
