Is this card damaged

Have a close look at the tracks in the area of the damage and see if anything looks broken.

You might be lucky and there be nothing there.

It looks to be outside of the screw hole for the cooler. If so it should be ok as there won't be any traces there (they would be broken by the screw hole anyway).

I don't have the card with me. I was going to buy it, seller said he knocked it so will give me a small discount. Thats the pictures of the damage from the knock. Is it worth the risk buying, seems like a good chunk is taken out of the pcb but as you said it might be ok because of its location. Heres a picture of the otherside of the pcb. It's a gtx 275

If it is not close to any of the 'tracks' on the card, then I would have thought that it should be OK.

If however it came like that from a retail or on-line purchase, I think I would be inclined to return it for a replacement.

Edit: Sorry, this was written before I read the previous posts, but having now seen your latest picture, surely there should be a fan or something fitted to the card.

I would certainly NOT buy it in that condition.

there is a fan, 3rd picture is just one taken off a review online to see the pcb layout

If you 'Google' that particular card, and look at the images, I don't think you will find one that looks anything like that... I certainly couldn't!

Edit: Ah, I thought that was the actual card you were thinking of buying!
