Some of you might have been following this thread here. I originally had in mind a combination for my system and was stuck on a graphics card, after some helpful insights over in the GFX forum i've had a slight change of plan to accomodate a 8800GTs :p

Anyway what I want to know is will the MB below be OK for OC'ing the CPU to perform at E6600 level? Here's my plan at the minute:

RAM
G.Skill 2GB DDR2 NQ PC2-6400 (2x1GB) CAS5 Dual Channel Kit - £100

MB
Abit Fatal1ty FP-IN9 SLi nForce 650 (Socket 775) - £80

CPU
Intel CPU Core 2 Duo E6300 - £120

GFX
BFG GeForce 8800 GTS OC 320MB GDDR3 HDTV/Dual DVI (PCI-Express) - Retail - £200

You should be able to get the 6300 upto 3ghz so thats higher than the e6600 at stock. Nice little budget build you picked yourself out, the G-skill and the mobo is a bargin!

After reading a few posts and looking at what others are putting in their rigs its sounds like the E4300 is a better option for the board above than the E6300???

What do ya think?
