Hi I have a post in this group about my memory not showing up in windows.

I have decided to ditch the Biostar motherboard because I have had problems with it from the start and have never liked it.

I have waiting in My Basket

DFI Infinity nF UltraII-M2/G (Socket AM2) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard
AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core 4200+ 2.20GHz (Socket AM2) - Retail
G.Skill 2GB DDR2 NR PC2-6400 (2x1GB) CAS5 Dual Channel Kit (F2-6400

Is all this compatible and will it work with the Inno 7950 GX2 without any problems and will have 2 GB ram to show up correctly :)

My Current system is :-

AMD 64 3700+ (939)
Biostar N4-SLI M/Board (Up to date bios)
2gb Corsair TwinX DDR-400 Ram
Enermax 500w Power Supply
300gb Maxtor SATA Drive + 160gb Maxtor SATA Drive
Inno NVIDIA 7950 GX2 1GB GFX Card

Thanks

Kev

This is a bit over the budget but it will perform better at stock speeds and should be capable of a very good overclock (3ghz is not uncommon) as well.

i would still go with the above stated gigabyte board over the abit!

Ok I went for the Gigabyte board.

Time to sell the Athlon 3700+ and Biostar board on ebay. Cant wait to get rid of the board and get into using a Core 2 Duo as I've always gone with a AMD processor.

Already got £140 for the Corsair 2gb on ebay last night :)

Just one thing, please tell me you didn't also go for the GSkill? It might have been cured in the latest bios update but the Gigabyte and the GSkill (other than the HZ stuff) do not get on, there is a large thread in the motherboards forum about this, if you have gone for the GSkill then I'd quickly get on the phone and ask OcUK to change the Ram to Geil. :)
