I have just cut and pasted from Office so ignore the formatting and the like. It's just the content I am asking for your opinion.

My wife is looking to change jobs and this position has come to her attention and she is eager to land an interview at least. I personally think she will get one and has a great chance at getting the job. So.. CV is it any good? Anything needs adding, moving etc.

Same help applies to the cover letter below the CV.:)

Dear

I am interested in applying for the position of cook at the White house nursery, Oakwood as seen on the Indeed website. I feel that my knowledge and skills in this role can be of added benefit to your business. I can be available from August 2016.

The position you have available interests me as I would like to expand my job skill set and possibly move on to other roles within your business if the opportunity arises. I am eager to expand my knowledge and feel that the position you're offering will be of benefit to both, myself and your business. I would like to be part of a team that cares for children and help in their development.

This role is something that I would consider very important to a child as I think having fresh, great tasting, and a variety of meals is good for the children as they will learn about healthy eating and trying new foods. I can provide this with the knowledge I have gained over the last three years.

I am currently a cook within a small team in a busy canteen that is part of a multi million pound business. We cater for an average of 60 staff members per day and on occasion, larger numbers as we are a core store that holds meetings.

Regards,

Hangtime. She has spoken to the lady in charge on the phone yesterday. The check was mentioned among other things they discussed and my wife is aware of it etc. The lady has emailed her the application form and arranged interview for next week iirc. I presume the CV and letter did what it needed to do.:)

So, good on you wifey. Well done. So pleased for her and I really hope she will get this job as she needs something extra in her life.
