Is this easy to do in Flash?

Hi all

I want to learn how to do things like this:

...in Flash (I have access to all versions so whatever is best). How easy is it to achieve results like this and can anyone point me in the direction of a book / website that can help teach this side of flash?

yes it's easy.. or it can be hard depending on how complex you wish to make it.

i'm just working on something for someone else quickly and i'll sort you out some links/information

Cool that would be great. Ideally I would like it pull news items from a mySQL database but I have not touched flash at all and would like to learn... some book titles would be great.

What is the best version to learn? latest or an earlier one?
