Is this error due to overclocking my CPU?

the error is basically a dos box that pops up with "OMP runtime internal error: assertion failure".

Googled in and its and INTEL compiling error, which makes me think its the CPU producing errors.

Wondered if anyone could shed some light.

Now, to make the pC bloomin stable!
 
Try backing off to 3ghz for a while to see. If your system was 'very' stable but not 100%, then errors because of it would be hard to make happen. If they happend doing the same thing each time then it would suggest to me that it wasn't you overclock. Still no harm backing off to 3ghz for a while or if you don'y fancy that, raise your vcore slightly.
