at the mo, i have a PC but am thinking next year of going to a laptop instead. i'm not a heavy pc gamer so that's not a prob but i do have loads of drives.
what i am thinking is next year, buy a quad core laptop (dell xps) but at home, hook up an ethernet cable (for net and shared drives of course) and a usb conn for other drives (same hub would also have usb wifi keyboard and mouse). final thing is a hdmi conn to my LCD tv (which i hope can carry sound too).
this would let me leave the lappy on my desk but use it as i would a base unit. and i could disconnect those conns to take it to work.
i dont want to end up buying this and not really use it so i'd need to make sure the points are covered
