Is this for real?

I think fake but damn I want one. :D

The way Russian Dude treats some Lost & Confused visitors is a bit harsh though. :p

it IS fake and as said above it was made for an up and coming COD game . Yes quads can lift a camera but were talking 9 pounds worth of gun then ammo on top and all the extras to make that work.. he also controls it from a tablet like he has been flying it for years (he hasn't) .

It might be a real quadrotor but gun is fake and he aint flying it

Thats 250 on the AR drone, thats a TOY.

You can buy drones that cost 12k that can carry 2KG with ease

Yeah sorry about that ... realised after posting that there are quads out there that can do a heck of a lot more.

Nonetheless still looks fake. Horizontal attitude doesn't look like it'll take the recoil

This dude is hilarious, he's got loads of weaponry based videos up on the youtube, check it out!

It's probably fake, but there's no reason you couldn't do it, it'd be pretty simple. You could make a paintball version easily.

It would be fair from simple, the weight of the gun would pose problems for a start and the recoil would send it all over the place. Do you know how tightly a human has to hold a powerful gun when shooting to control that recoil, in the air it would just send the quadrotor spinning.

Not sure if feasible with a paint ball gun but you couldn't do it with a real one.

Unless you had a a Beretta Xtrema2 mounted on it!:eek:

Then you only get about 10 shots before you'd have to bring it back and reload it :(

It would be easy to make this.
Hobbyking already do a 'beer lift' challenge with a multi-rotor helicopter.

They are super stable with 3 axis gyroscopes, recoil could be a problem, but I am sure that could be solved with a dampner on the barrel of the gun.

This gives a rough idea of what is available, but you could go much much bigger.
