Hi,

I just seen a gaming laptop and want to know if its a good deal. I don't think I can mention the brand, but the specs are:-

17" TFT screen (1920x1200)
Intel Core 2 Duo Mobile T5750
4GB memory
250GB hard drive
DVD writer
Nvidia 8800M GTX graphics (512MB)
802.11n
Bluetooth
No OS

The CPU is a bit weak but for just under £700, is it ok?

Cheers,
Korduo

Its a great price for the spec.
Because it uses the clevo chassis you can easily upgrade the CPU should you feel you need some more performance. looking at their other models they sell them with a P9500, so youve got a good range to choose from between the T5750, and the P9500. with the size of the laptop you may ever be able to use the T9600?

The spec is fine for £700, but I really would upgrade that CPU, as it is most definitely the laptop's main bottleneck.

Seeing as it is a 17" laptop, it should be able to take a fairly beefy processor, but I would check with the manufacturer before installing.

Thanks a million for the info, I just found a T9400 & T8100 processor for cheap, would they work in this laptop? CPU uses P socket.
