Hello, i want to use a wireless router to connect 2 pc's at home that are no more than 5 meters apart but must go through 2 brick walls. I want to be able to use the full 10mb bandwidth i have with ntl though so will this router do that for me?

Netgear WNR834B 300Mbps Rangemax NEXT Cable Router (NW-087-NG)

if not does anyone know one that will? and also what wirless cards will i need to put in my 2 pc's to do this?

thx in advance for your replies.

I think it doesn't matter what Router you have, your Bandwith is giving to each PC whatever the Router I think, our Router does that to our 2 PC's and Laptop.

And for your Wireless Adaptor you could get a "Netgear Wireless USB Adaptor" these will be £15 each max :)

Yeah but i hear many people buying wireless routers and they cant make use of the full bandwidth, so rather than having a download speed of 1 meg a second they can only achieve 500k a second because the router just cant handle the speed, so i wanted reasurance that something like this or another router could infact do that (i think a 10meg connection can download at 1 meg a sec anyway!)

The router in question should be fine, I have an earlier version that has to cover a stone built cottage from one end to the other (50m) and it's fine at 10mbit, you are right that some routers have had problems with newer broadband speeds eg 8-10mbit (wired and wireless) but the recent kit is much better. The only concern could possibly be the brick walls but I don't think it will be a problem.
