Is this good value?

Seen this on offer
i7 6700(non K)
MSI Z170A G43 Plus
16GB DDR4
Nothing else included apart from a stock cooler

Looking to build a small system over a couple of months for the kids and seen this for £170 can be seen running etc. I'm a bit out the loop on anything above a 5820k (what I currently have) and wondering if its decent value or if I should be looking for something else. Literally will be used for office and some basic gaming with a bit of fortnite thrown in.

Any help would be appreciated.

Seems reasonable to me, do you have a spare GPU or will you be using the onboard graphics?

On board to get it up and running then will search for a used gpu once 3080 stock levels increase and prices of the older kit drop.

Ok good idea, do you have any idea what frequency the memory is rated for?

What I often do is set a watch alert on the Members Market if I’m after anything so I get an email when anyone posts anything. That way you get what you want early.

Oh and I’d say that’s good value, 6700K prices on the ‘bay are still £200 or thereabouts. I’m still rocking mine!
