Is this idea OK please ?

OK I have broken one of the hot swap connectors in my Corsair 540 case ( I was having a bad week ) ...so I cant place my other HDD in the bottom of the case .....so I'm thinking would the HDD be OK sitting ( secured by cable ties )next to the DVD/CD Drive please ?

I moved all my hard drives to the 5.25 bays a while ago in my 650D case.
Hard drive temps haven't changed, & the front fan has unrestricted air flow to the GPU now.

Plus it looks tidier !

Yeah thats kinda what i was thinking ..as my two SSDs that are in the back are usually the same temp when ever i check

What about bungee modding the drive??

Yeah I gave that a look thanx Crimley....I'll have to think on that one as the case I'm using ..although a nice case , isn't very tall , so If i add a HDD cage one or two low/shallow ones
