Is the fan over the chip set on my dfi lan party inportant?

It doesn't spin so assumed it was broke as the blade unit just came out......temp according to bios is 51

That is pretty hot although it normally doesn't matter all that much given I had a PC that had a stopped fan for about a year without me noticing a problem, you could look into getting a replacement heatsink for it as there are versions that don't require fans at all.

I wouldnt say it was vital, but its proberly worth replacing....

As i see it, if it wasnt needed would it be there in the first place?...
