Is this is a good spec for the price?

ASUS TUF GAMING A17 NVIDIA RTX 4070, 16GB, 17.3" 144Hz, AMD Ryzen R9-7940HS Gaming Laptop - £1400

All I'm going to be doing is gaming, mainly indie games, the occasional AAA thrown in. No design or graphics work etc.

My eyes are knackered too so I need a 17inch screen ideally.

Does that seem like a good spec for the money?

I wouldn't be spending anywhere near that much if it was just for indie games.

If your eyes are tired, I suggest considering another laptop with a display that has better quality, such as higher resolution, refresh rate, and maximum brightness.

Since you will be playing games at the office or home, why not consider a laptop with a smaller 15.6-inch display along with a 24-inch monitor? This setup could offer at least QHD resolution with a better refresh rate, providing a more enjoyable gaming experience.
