Is this (Kiss) Hard Drive recorder ok?

I have never had anything other than a VCR and am now considering getting a HDD recorder.

I want one that plays DivX and that i can transfer files to AND from my PC.

This seems to fit the bill - is it any good?

The DP-558 has had some problems in its life mainly to do with firmware and software, Kiss have just launched the DP-600 that will play High Def files from your computer and they have also anounced the DP-608 that is the same as the DP-600 but its also got an inbuilt hard drive.
The DP-600 and 608 have been along time coming and for months and months Kiss have put the launch date back but it was finaly released last week but ive still not actualy heard of anyone getting one yet, ive got one on order and havnt heard any thing form the company that i ordered it from.
If youve got a HD-Ready TV have a look at the DP-600 and 608 as like i said they will paly HD media, I think the hard drive in the 608 is only 80GB but both have USB ports on them so you can add an external hard drive, ive already got a 400GB USB hard drive so thats why ive gone with the DP-600.
