Is this laptop any good?

I am currently looking at purchasing the following laptop: -

Acer 6930G-744 Entertainment Laptop

The spec is as follows: -

My first question is are Acer any good?

If so I would be using this for multimedia applications / flash, etc & in my spare time when I am unwinding I do like a dabble on World of warcraft.

So would this laptop be more than capable of playing WoW on full settings?

i'd say yes it would play wow, as for full settings im not sure.

A mate at work has the Acer 6930G P7350 / 2 GHz,
RAM - 3 GB
NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GS - 512 MB

And it runs wow on max pretty well, only busy cites go down to 10-20fps @1366 x 768, CPU probably the limiting factor here.

Laptops suffer a bit on wow due to HDD speed. If you have an esata drive(maybe USB2), would help on loading times.

nah im not familiar with wow, but as said it runs fine at max at 1366x768
