Not asking for advice or anything, just a general query from you (sometimes :p ) knowlegeable folks.

If a company sends out items to you, but you do not receive them can they still legally demand that you pay for them anyway if you do not tell them for a while?

How abouts if you try to contact them by letter but never get a reply so give up and leave it for 6 months or so?

Even if the customer claims to have tried to contact the seller yet got no response?

yeh well anyone can say that, but it still has to be payed for reguardless

you cant order an item then simply refuse to pay it or shall we say forget about it,

nothing is free in this world

Just asking this as this situation pops up a few times a day for me in my job, and it just does doesn't seem right.

He hasn't received the item though, so why should he pay for it?

It's up to the retailer to get the item to you.

Agreed, and if its worth arguing over wouldn't the delivery person have the reciprents signiture?

If the customer had really wanted to get their item they would have complained immediately and thoroughly..
