OCZ PC2-8800 (1100MHz) Gold Edition i have found this memory £85 per 1 gb stick and apparently it matches the

Corsair 2GB DDR2 XMS2 Dominator PC2-8888C4 TwinX (2x1GB)
1111MHz RAM Speed, CAS 4-4-4-12 Timings, 2.4-2.5v VDIMM, Lifetime Warranty with Corsair.
Corsair Out of Stock £379.99
(£446.49)

there's a review of it comparing it to the dominator here
I'm pretty shocked by this seeing as the corsair is over twice the price
have i stumbled upon a a true bargain? or a true blunder.

No because people would miss it i feel it's my duty
to point out this ram now as it seems one hell of
a bargain to be had. When i see ram being recommended
that isnt half as good as this.

~£175 seems to be the going rate for the 2Gb kits

it might be worth checking though that the current production is still using the same ICs as those tested 6 months ago?

hm but the tone of your post insinuates a question - not a recommendation.

yea its a decent price, but it doesnt perform as well as the Corsair. most should know that 9/10's performance can be had for about 50% of the cost anyway these days...
