work with each other and any better that i can do for the money? or perhaps a little more... say £350 ish

I'm not about to order but seriously considering it.

Also i have just (two weeks ago) used a Win7 OEM code, will i have any issues re-installing theis with the new hardware? can i do anything about it? Really dont want to buy a new key so quick after using the first one.

Thanks in advance

I would change the memory to the XMS3 - link.

It's faster and the company still make memory.

If you're on a budget and don't need the z68 extras it's a solid spec for the money - although a retail CPU gets you 3 years guarantee.

thanks, but really trying to keep it under £350 as i've spent so much recently on the rest of my PC lol. Is a nice spec though... hmm. EDIT: I really do like that board! oh... lol

Ah cool, will change the RAM then, really for the little extra i guess the retail is a better option.

Anyone with any ideas on the Win7 thing?

Also any other options as far as motherboards are concerned? I only ever OC a little say 10-15%

You could get an Asrock Z68 PRO3 for £99 if you wanted a z68 board - but i'm not familiar with these boards.

If the p67 does everything you want of it the you're buying a tried and tested board on its last revision so all the bugs will be ironed out.

Also, the 2500K on that particular p67 should guarantee at least a 4.4GHz clock (CPU dependent) - you would be able to get 4GHz using the stock cooler.

Thanks Plec, that very useful info there! With the Asrock though, it mentions sata II, but not 6g/b sata. So seeing as i have a M4 i would be better off staying with the Gigabyte board?

If you have a Sata3 SSD and a motherboard that only has Sata2. Then you are indeed correct. It will be bottlenecked.
