Is this monitor right for me?

I currently have the Viewsonic VX922 which must be getting on for 5 years old. In it's old age it is starting to suffer from the swollen caps problem which means having to preform a 3 pin reset every now and then when I bring my PC out of sleep. This has forced the issue of upgrade time.

I have been on the look out for an upgrade for years but nothing really grabbed me and there were always a new batch of screens around the corner that seemed worth the wait but now the swollen caps have forced my hand (thank god:D).

So here is the plan. Get a good all-rounder that will do me until as a primary display and then get a 120hz gaming monitor later this year and use the one i am about to buy as a secondary. 24 inch wide screen with 1080p screen res is a must and HDMI connection as well. This is the sticking point. I loves me some counter strike so response time is quite important. My current screen has 2ms (although some reviews have benched it at more like 7ms g2g) so I need a comparable or better response time of 2ms and it to play nice with FPS games.

With this in mind my requirements for a monitor are:
24" wide screen.
1080p screen res.
HDMI connection.
Comparable or better response time to my current monitor: 2ms

I have spotted the:
IIyama Prolite E2473HDS(and this thread)
and it seems to fit the bill and at a nice price point. So anyone with the screen or any opinions or options please share. Remember that this screen will be relegated to secondary monitor by a 120hz screen later this year but must hold up till then.
