Gigabyte H67M-UD2H-B3 Intel H67 (socket 1155) DDR 3 Motherboard (B3 Revision)

Is this motherboard compatible with the latest I5/I7 intel processors ?

Am i correct in assuming you can't overlclock with it ?

Decent motherboard ? what are its flaws ?

Any info would be appreciated !

Not future proof at all :p Nothing is in PC tech

Compatible will all 1155 CPUs from the i3/5/7 range. H versions are for using the built in video on the CPU, P for overclocking

It's an OK board, just right for the price. The new Z series boards are out soon iirc

H67 boards are only beneficial if you need the integrated graphics. They only support up to 1333MHz RAM as well.

That particular board only has USB 2.0 as well.

Go for a Z68 board instead which will also allow you to overclock, if price permits of course :)

Well its a spare motherboard i got lying around not one im considering buying

Is only supporting upto 1333mhz ram a big issue which will effect performance ?

Im thinking of putting a I5-2500k and Radeon 6870 into this motherboard, im assuming it will still be able to run everything nice and crisp despite only supporting 1333mhz ?

No issue, just means you not running 1600MHZ ram or higher rated at its full potential.

the differences 1333mhz-1600mhz-1866mhz-2133mhz makes for Sandybridge is around 2-3% in real world tests.
