I am running a sapphire 4870X2 and a samsung 2443BW.
I am having problems with the display reverting back to a lower resolution and also when I run 3D MARK VANTAGE I cannot get past the first benchmark, jane nash.
It is showing large grey streaks running up and down the screen.

Has this just happened? Or has it developed slowly?
Is it a new build? Or have you changed anything of late?
When does the res revert? A particular time when you do something? Or randomly?
Whats the rest of your system spec? Incl any OCs?

It's just happened.
It's a new build.i7920 OC'd to 3.2GHz.
4870X2 GPU not OC'd.
I have changed the bios settings so that everything is on auto apart from the BCLK at 180,CPU Voltage 1.25,DDR3 1604MHz with timings of 9-9-9-24, DDR BUS voltage 1.6.
There were a lot of changes that I felt were to high for an overclock of 3.2GHz.
The IOH was at 1.4 for example.

This is my only one,it came with the build.
To be honest I am replacing it with a GTX295 tomorrow.
What is the best way to get rid of the ATI drivers?
Thanks for the help.

uninstall using add/remove programs
download driversweeper
reboot into safe mode (hitting F8)
run driversweeper
reboot into normal and install new NVidia drivers

Ok bit of a longshot but: I have that monitor. Before that I had a 2032BW which I sold on here. When the buyer came to pick it up I set the PC up on the 2032 for him to see. I dont think windows liked that both of the monitors were called 'Samsung Syncmaster" and even gave me a couple of bluescreens. When I went back to the 24" screen, windows kept starting up in 1680x1050 untill unistalled "Samsung Syncmaster" only to replace it with "Samsung Syncmaster" If you see what I mean.
