Is this normal? (Possible) problem with my new build...

Hi folks,

FINALLY got my new PC built - took 2 dodgy motherboards and a dodgy PSU before I got there tho...

However - the PC powers up wierd (at least in my experience). When I hit the power button it starts up for about 1/2 a second (lights come on, fans/hdds start to spin up) then it powers off for over a second, THEN it powers back on and boots up ok....

Also, sometimes when I save changes to the BIOS it powers off and then powers back on, other times it simply reboots fine.

Any ideas?

Spec:

Asus P5K Deluxe
Intel C2D E6700
4Gb Patriot PC-8500 5-5-5-9 (4x1Gb) @ 1066MHz
BFG 8800GTS OC2 320Mb
Creative X-Fi Fatal1ty
3Ware 9650SE RAID card
Assorted WD RAID drives
SATA DVD RW
Logictech G15
Razer Copperhead
Dell 24" Monitor

PSU is currently my old Enermax 620W while the Toughpower 1000W gets RMA'ed

Thanks for any help,

Charles

Ok with the ASUS P5B Deluxe when you change any settings into the BIOS, it turns itself of then back then of again then back on and boots up, nothing to worry about.

The same thing happened with me when i first got the board, make sure that in the BIOS everything is at the manufacturers recommended settings.
