basically, my cpu's clock speed keeps rising. at first it was at like 2000Mhz, now its at like 2200Mhz, it keep going up every few days by like 00.20Mhz
is this normal?, also ive checked temperature etc and its all fine
 
Id guess that you have cool and quiet enabled, when your pc is idle, check the speed, then run a game or something, and check again
 
You are checking the speed when the game is running? Or download prime or similar and run that and see if the speed changes.

Oh and it has to be an intensive game, MS minesweeper or solitaire don’t count. ;)
 
Well i ran Guild Wars and WoW at the same time :O that **** be enough to make the computer break a sweat, yeah i tested them running, and not running, and tested it after my PC had been off for around 2 hours, still exactly the same
