My E6300 is running at 85 degrees while idle. Isn't that a bit too warm? My cpu fan appears to be working, as are the rest of my casefans.
 
Hmm, ok. I built the PC over a year ago but i've only noticed it being this warm recently. I'll try and reseat the heatsink to see if it changes anything.

Coretemp.

I opened the case and removed the heatsink/fan assembly, and everything looked normal, but I decided to investigate further and removed the fan. Lo and behold there was about 1cm thick of dust packed inbetween the heatsink and fan.

Running at 45 degrees now :p
