Is this normal?

Just ran the in-game benchmark of DiRT 3 on my HD 7850 at 1080p with all settings cranked to the max. I alt+tabbed out of it to check GPU Tweak's monitor and see what conditions my over clocked HD 7850 was running in and it says 1.8gb of VRAM was being used. Does DiRT 3 really chew up this much memory?

It's normal, as Rusty says, it'll cache more if the memory is available
