Is this normal?

I have 4gb ram, but on windows it says 4.00gb 3.25gb useable.
I am running windows 7 64bit professional.

What is your system setup?

Onboard gpu could be using some memory.

Reading that manual, on page 12, it seems that it can only detect ~3gb. So looks like it's the motherboard itself that's causing the missing chunk of RAM.

Due to the South Bridge resource deployment, the system density will only be
detected up to 3+GB (not full 4GB) when each DIMM is installed with an 1GB
memory module.
