Hi guys, having a strange issue tonight while using my machine!
Specs are
Asus z97i-plus
4790k with H80i @4.6ghz
16gb 2400mhz HyperX Beast
R9 280
Right, I am watching MOTD currently on iPlayer and downloading some stuff off of mega and also browsing various things online (I have 3 monitors hooked up)
Basically what was happeing is the cpu fan was getting really loud and quiet and loud and quiet etc and I couldn't figure it out! I am using Asus' AI Suite 3 with Fan Xpert to control the CPU fan.
Now I checked the readout on Asus' own software and it showed this:
Whereas Afterburner showed this:
Is it normal to have the cpu usage spiking like this constantly? That is having a direct impact on the fan going up and down as I assume this is what Fan Xpert uses to manage the speed.
However, if this is the case, why is the readout from Asus AI Suite showing me a different temp?!
I am confuse
Edit
Just to be clear, I am not concerned with the usage spiking like that, I assume thats normal. My concern is the big temperature spikes that go with it. Should it be so prevalent? I would have thought it would have been a bit more of a linear curve...
