Is this normal?

Do creative always wind the wire so hard on their products that it does this?

I should have got a picture of it before I unwound it but I just did it without thinking, was very tight. Very nice headphones for the money but can't understand why they would then ruin the wire for them like this.

It'll straighten out over time, Let the wire hang straight down and should speed it up.
