What's the GPU? If it's 8800GT and above then that's a bit low, if not then it's OK.

With 1600ppd from the quad it sounds like you're running four standard clients? You could potentially get about 2800ppd running a Windows SMP client, or above 4000 if you're willing to mess with Linux virtual machines. (Assuming Vista, XP might be less due to GPU)

Which OS? How much CPU is your GPU client using?

8800 gts 640 stock sorry

vista 64 ultimate

I am using the smp i think (the text based c:\ window?)

all my cores are 100% usage, the gpu was using 100% ish of core 4 I think.

That PPD is about right for an old-style 88GTS. You could probably get a few more by clocking the shaders using RivaTuner.

Yeah, sounds like you're on the Windows SMP client. 1600ppd is a bit low for a quad, but you might just have a low-scoring WU. What's the project number of the SMP WU you're folding? And how much CPU is being used by FahCore_11.exe?

fah core 11 is using: 03 cpu O.o, theres 4 fah core a1*32 's using 25ish cpu each

project num for cpu is 2665 (R1, C215, G35)

3% for the GPU is about what I'd expect - it's good because the GPU client isn't getting in the way of your SMP client.

It seems like you've just got a bad WU for your first SMP WU. Hopefully you'll soon get some of the 1760-point units as their PPD is much better. But it sounds like everything is working OK :)

I'm running a 320mb 8800 GTS factory OC'd netting me 3840ppd.

CPU is a 3.4GHz Q9450 pulling 2373ppd with a crappy project 2665 at the moment, on a project 3064 it's good for 3300ppd :D

Ah. I assumed the 8800GS was below or about level with the old 8800GTS's. Cracking cards then for the money (mine went for 35 quid in the MM).

Yeah, the 8800GS has to have the best PPD-per-pound of any piece of hardware right now! If I had a board with two PCI-E slots I'd buy one and stick it next to my GT... sadly I don't :( :p

Incidently, and sorry for stealing your thread Psypher, is it possible to run two different series in the same mobo? Obviously not in SLI mode.

As in a 9000 and an 8000 for example.
