Hi all i have just fitted a Prolimatech Megahalems Rev B heatsink with push/pull fans Akasa AK-FN058 Apaches.

When using prime 95 my temps are 74 71 72 73 on full load for 1 hr

Are these temperatures acceptable or will i need to reseat the heatsink again?
 
Hi thanks for the reply,im getting high idle temps for some reason not that idle temps matter.

My room is always hot,might have something to do with it?

Idle temps are: 48 46 47 47

Load temps never go above 75c when using prime,just dont get why i have high idle temps?

i7 in generally seems to idle hotter than other CPU's, high ambients will always mean hotter temps, no way getting round that sadly :(

In short though nothing wrong with high idle temps though yours are hotter than quite a few people on here I believe (only used water on i7). Certainly nothing wrong with the mounting as your load temps are fine
 
i get 42 idle and 69 load (thats overclocked to 3.8)
cooled via a H50 with 2 apache blacks on push/pull.
....soon to be watercooled properly though.


.. so your temps on 4.00 aint too bad imo.
