Ive been putting together a nice lil gaming system for a few months now and have been fidling with it since christmas. Its a Phenom 2 955 and ive overclocked it to 3.8ghz, tho ive never OCd before and simply took up the multiplier i am VERY inexperianced with this.
My question is what is a good idle temp cause mine hovers around 39-42c (Highest its got to under load is 54c) and it seems pretty high so should i be concerned? The heatsink isnt state of the art its a £16 coolermaster but i never intended to do some crazy OCing and though 3.8 to be a reasonable goal for a less expensive setup.
