You will be able to play those games, no problems. However as for frame rates - i have no idea, should think you will be ok as you have 7600GT's in Sli !!! :)

3 of those games use the same engine, and you will have no probs with those game, at a very good frame rate, and OPF is an oldgame, you will have no probs running all those games at the max res on your monitor.

by far, half-life and css use source engine so you would be able to max everything out with one 7600GT let alone 2x in SLi :D

Operation Flashpoint is about 4-5 years old :p it will run fine ;)

Surely you're winding us up? You're honestly asking if a five year-old game and a two-year old game will run on an ultra modern twin graphics card PC?

EDIT: Oh, you're purely after the FPS? Well I'd imagine you'd probably max OFP out for starters, and god knows with the Source engine games, but they'd be pretty good anyway. Surely just try once you get the system and find an optimal setting?

sorry mate but im totally new to getting pc's. How long would this pc keep me going gaming wise and how much fps would i get?

Fair enough then, apologies.

With a spec like that, I don't think there's single PC game already out that you won't be able to play. Future-wise, I'd imagine it'll last you a good few years at the least, and if you're not fussed about dropping to medium resolutions later on, it'll last you an age.

With the kind of money you're spending on that though, I wouldn't have thought that would bother you much though. :p

anything over 30 fps and you wouldn't notice, seriously. I reckon with that set up FPS wise you max it, 100 fps and more. As with regarding future gaming that will always change, its a good spec PC, the only thing hindering your graphics just now is your monitor, unless its an a cracker, your res is 1280 x 1024 tops. You may prob be better asking the same question if you are upgrading you monitor to say 22" or 24"

As before that rig will play most of the current games and future ones no probs.

Personally if I were getting a new PC I would build it myself, I get the feeling you are not that confident about doing this. It all depends, the spec is good, although with that spec I would have thought they would have put a slighty higher end graphics SLI in there GeForce 7800 SLI rather than 7600 models. Again also wondering what kind of money was involved, be careful as you really are talking about a competitor in mind.

Seeing as it sounds like it already a done deal, I wouldnt complain really. a plus point here is that you can upgrade a good few components such as graphics etc in the future. There is a certain amount of Future Proofing in that system, such as GeForce 8800 cards etc....

The Geforce 8800 cards are DX10 cards although no games are available for it yet, you have Vista, although its the very basic version. The GeForce 7600 and 7800 are only DX9 cards. I wouldnt worry about this thought as DX10 games are still a good few months away, if you wanted to playt hese games in all their glory of DX10, you will still be able to play them.

Enjoy your machine, it will stead you well for ages to come, and by then you prob saved enough money to do some upgrades :D

Regards

Vic

A good spec which will run those games fine, however you'd be better off with a single fast card (x1950xt/7900GTO or better) than 7600GT-SLI.

ON CSS i get about 150fps min with my single 7600gt, 1gb ram and an e6300. Also at high settings.

Like mentioned above, on Source based games you should get back well over a constant 60fps. On my Ath64 3200+ 'Venice' @2.4GHz, 2Gb and 7900GS (550/1500) I get back well over 60 constantly at 1280x960x32 with everything maxed on Half Life 2. That includes 'The Lost Coast' aswell.

I certainly notice the difference between 30 and 60 fps.

Me too. Anything over 50 FPS and it's smooth. But with the rig you have there, you'll be getting about 150 at most times. I have a single 7600GT, with a 4600+ X2 CPU and 2Gb DDR RAM. You also have 2Gb but you have a better CPU and SLI 7600GT's.

Also, as far as PC's go, build your own. When it comes to gaming PC's, you'll save a lot of money, and i mean a lot! Sometimes in excess of £200! And i wouldn't recomment Packard Bell at all, they're utterly shocking.

Oh yeah, nice rig ya got there!

Anything above the 30 FPS i have metioned and shouldnt be to previalant on the eye, the other graphic equations come into question such as AA etc, and thats done to Graphics cards etc and their quality....
