From first impressions I'd say it was over that, what with SSD, monitor, a GTX295 and vista ultimate etc..

But could just be me being a noob :cool:

Well a mate is selling it so I'm tempted to buy it, rather than go for a new build. Unless you think I could price up a I7 build for that?

You'd be able to get an i7 build but you wouldnt be able to fit in a gfx card that comes close to the gtx 295 in speed let alone a monitor, water cooling, good monitor, ssd etc. that cpu is still excellent for gaming and probably will be for the next few years, judging by how fast games aren't developing atm. plus other than the lack of dx11 support which not many games support as of yet (heck there's only what 2 games out there that REQUIRE dx10) the gtx 295 is still a brilliant card.

I'd buy it for 700. Haha great deal.

I don't know much about the monitor but.

GTX 295 - best card in the market after 480 and 5970 which are nearly $400 bucks each.
That processor is still very very very good, not better then an i7 but even an i5 would probably not even be much of an upgrade.
Asus Rampage - Excellent 775 motherboard, one of the best.
Coolermaster Cosmos - great expensive case
Intel 80GB SSD - do I even need to explain this?
OCZ Reaper - Good RAM
g15 keyboard- excellent keyboard
750 PSU - Great quality psu!
Speakers- very good speakers.

Honestly, you can find almost all of that in OcUK , just price it up yourself, it's well worth the money.

But considering you can get a Hex core i7 for £400 less than that, I think that value is slightly overrated

Intel don't drop prices on their flagship stuff usually. Kinda wise really. Can't be duping me people into paying £1,000 a chip and then reduce it to £500 a few months later haha.
