Hi, Im currently saving for a new 42" plasma/lcd (I still havent decided what I want yet) not spending more than £1500.. anyway I was wondering if it would be possible to link any TV I get to this Sony MHC-RG444s I have little to no clue about this sort of thing but I was hoping to avoid spending anything on a speaker system so I could spend more on the screen, cheers

You realise its only a 2.1 system so you wont get any dedicated centre or rear channels?

As to the actual question asked - as there is no actual definitive inputs or outputs listed I personally wouldnt risk it unless you can have a look at one in a shop or Sony Centre.

Having stereo sound doesnt bother me, I dont have the space for a surround system, but unless Ive got the wrong end of the stick most screens dont come with built in speakers? anyway thanks for your reply.

most screens come with speakers - unless its a "Monitor " style display , rather than a TV.

However you would be right in the fact that most dont have particularly good speakers.

I think at best you would get analogue l+r inputs on that stereo so hardly worth it imo but you could check it out to be sure
