I was chatting to my LOTRO guild leader the other night and he was telling me that he had a rig with four 8800 GTS's (quad) and 8 GB of ram. He said something about a modified board, but as far as I am aware would the nVidia drivers have to support quad core graphics cards. Also how would Vista utilize all of 8GB's because does not the 64 bit version only support up to 4GB. I thought I was fairly up to date with Hardware so if this can be done I have been caught napping.

I can't answer the quad sli question (although nothing would utilise it) But 8GB of ram is very possible. 64 Bit O/S can see and use up to 128GB if i'm not mistaken?

EDIT: Actually quad sli is real but only in the sense that you have a single card with two GPU's inside of it, therefore you may infact be able to have 6XGPU's over a tri sli.
