to put an car ignition switch as a power button to a pc or even a push button igntion, i was just wondering what an amazing mod this would be and how hard it would be but i really dont know where to start so any ideas?

Yep, all that motherboard needs is momentarily connecting those two power switch contact pins together.

as long as the switch (keeps the connection bridged ?) then any thing can be used.

could get a hipper orris, as it built like a brute and make a ultra secure pc.

How about your PC powers on when you are near it (remote ignition key) prolly already been done a 1000 times.

Edit: In fact its doable with a mobile phone (blue tooth).... apparently..

I know it can be done if the PC is kept in sleep mode, but not sure if it could actually power the whole thing on, or at least I've never heard of it done before

works from iPhone etc.
