Is this ram compatible?

Hi all,

Ive got this motherboard:

Ive currently got 1gb (2x512mb) Geil Golden Dragon RAM. Ive got a 512mb stick of generic ram at home, and just been given 512mb DDR2 dimm (pc4200). Would I be able to put the extra gig in my pc or is it not compatible?

You can put all the DDR in but not the DDR2, I'm not sure whether the use of 3 sticks of Ram will mean you can use dual channel mode for the two matched sticks or if it will rule out dual channel for all of it.

It isn't quite that harsh, you need 250 posts and to have been a member for over 90 days plus then activate your 'Trust', full details in the FAQ.

The reasoning why the MM is kept separate from the shop is threefold I think although I may be missing some, 1) because you get no rights just for being a shop customer, 2) having a post/time limit means that in theory people have invested something in the 'community' here so are less likely to rip off people and 3) being able to hand over cash to a shop is rather different to carrying out a private deal between two individuals.
