Just my luck, only had two new fronts earlier this year! Is this far enough from the shoulder?

I want to take it for a proper repair at Just Tyres but it's £30 just to book it in and don't want them to basically tell me it's not repairable.

Looks like it might be in one of those places that depends how generous they're feeling. I'd say it's probably right on the edge.

£30 to for them to take a look and tell you if they can repair it, I think you will find that smaller indi tyre fitters will look at that for free and give you free advice

wow. find another garage. my local charges £20 and if they don't think they can fix it they will tell you before trying.

hell my wife's car 2 months back they took the tyre. off , took out the nail and realised it had not gone all the way through and they didn't charge me. (all it cost me was a box of biscuits the following week :D )

In fairness, the £30 was using their online booking form as the puncture became apparent last night after business hours. I would guess they would refund it if you turned up with the puncture in a questionable place and it wasn't repairable.

Anyhow, I took it to an independent that I tend to use for wheel alignment as they have a Hunter machine. They repaired it, no questions asked for £25. Better than £200 for another tyre.
