I have reset the speed manually in the BIOS but this is not right, is it?

Patriot G Series 1600Mhz.

Should be faster than this, should it not?

There are a number of flavours of the G series so i'm not sure about the accuracy of the timings (but they look too tight for 1600MHz).

Also the memory is only running at 866MHz (2 x 433) - so you need to go into the BIOS and have another play.

Additional:cI think you'll be looking at approx 9 9 9 24 (timings), perhaps 2T Command rate and 800MHz (i.e. 2 x 800 = 1600MHz) - using CPUz to view the revised settings.

Nice one. :)

Manually changed the timings to 9-9-9-24 and reset the speed and I appear to be back in business.

Have no idea why that happened tbh. Very odd.

Wondering if I can tweak then anymore?

Possibly, but i would run with your present settings for a week or so and use and abuse the system during that time.

If it appears to be stable you could then experiment with slightly tighter timings, perhaps a 1T command rate or even upping the frequency.

However you wouldn't notice any obvious speed benifits in day to day usage even if you managed to tweak all 3. But, it's always satisfying to get as much extra speed out of a component so don't be put off experimenting. I would try tighter timings or a command rate of 1T first.

If you opt for upping the frequency i would leave the timings/command rate alone.
