Hello.

Upgrading GPU shortly and just wanting to make the most out of my cpu and ram to compliment it, untill i do a new system upgrade next year.

The ram i have is 1600 mhz capable i believe. But i dont think its currently running at that. Is it worth increasing its speed? any point in doing so?
Heres a screenshot of CPU-Z and its specs.

I cant see anywhere in the bios where i have the option to increase memory speeds, so if someone could point me in the right direction that would be great.
Thanks

It's running at 1333MHz which is its JEDEC default.

If you want it running at its rated 1600MHz you'll need to find the memory settings in the bios (assuming the option is available).

It would make a difference, but it won't be massive.

Thanks for replies.

I'll have a nother look within the bios and see if i can find the right menu which brings up the option.

The mobo is Asus M4A785TD-VEVO if that helps.
