Is this safe??

Hi,

Just trying to fit a arctic cooler freezer 7 pro on my abit fatality f-i90hd micro atx motherboard and the onboard graphics fin is in the way.

Is it safe to take it off? , as its only the graphics and its not overclocked or anything.

It isnt a fan just a metal oblong piece of metal with fins in it.

Please help as my pc is stripped apart and dont know whether to do it or not.

I would not have thought that this was a good idea, If you take off the heatsink from the graphics chipset then it will be likely to overheat whether you are overclocking or not as it will not even have any passive cooling on it.

Can't you replace it with a lower profile heatsink? I have done this with my Abit FP-IN9.
