I'm attempting to overclock my 2500k and it isn't going too well. I'm currently sending it 1.28V in the BIOS to get a multiplier of 42 out of it. Under load CPU-Z shows that it's only drawing 1.2V taking account of VDroop. Now I dont want to put too much voltage into the chip, but when I go to 1.38V in the BIOS it's still only sending 1.28 to the chip under load. I don't really want to put more than ~1.38V in the board.
So my question is, is it okay to compensate for the VDroop and set the BIOS to 1.45V+, knowing that it will send less than that under load?
