Here's my current specs...
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 2400G CPU with Radeon Vega RX Graphics
Motherboard: Gigabyte A320 M-H
Ram: 2 x 8GB of HyperX Fury DDR4
SSD/HDD: SSD 120GB, HDD 1TB
GPU: Radeon Vega RX Graphics
PSU: Cooler Master MasterWatt Lite 500W 80 Plus
Chassis: Fractal Design
OS: Linux Ubuntu 64Bit

I've OC the CPU from 3.6ghz to 3.9ghz and the RAM from 2400mhz to 3000mhz
It runs stable, and idle is about 36degrees

Mobo websites claim I Can OC to CPU as much as I have, and the RAM can go upto 3200mhz ( i dont want to go any higher though )

Those are perfectly safe numbers, though I didn't think A320 motherboards supported overclocking.

Have you run any stability tests? Run something thorough like a stress test or Prime95 for a long time, maybe an hour or two. If it's unstable at these levels that's not dangerous as such, it just might crash a lot. System crashes can lead to system drive file corruption so if things get weird, reinstall Windows once you have the clock speeds where you want them.

The only thing to keep an eye on really is temperatures, so get some monitoring software while you're setting the system up.

Yeah its easy to OC in the BIOS.
I downloaded a temp app in Linux and it shows...
TDI
TCTL
Temp 1

All running between 28degrees when browsing and 40degrees when doing loading apps

You mention the speeds but not voltages. It's voltages (and heat) that dictate whether a overclock is safe or not. Another thing to consider is that to get 3000mhz from a 2400mhz memory kit you usually need to slacken the timings to achieve this. Most of the time a lower clockspeed with tighter timings gives better results than a faster speed with loose timings. You may even find that you can tighten the timings at stock speed. We all know that Ryzen needs fast memory but speed isn't the only thing to consider. Run something like Aida64 to test stock and overclocked memory speeds.

From the website I bought my system from it says 3.9ghz for the cpu and 3200mhz for the ram, which is currently where i have it. it runs between 28 and 48 degrees, would it be a bad idea to go any further ?
