Heat sink arrived cracked to hell and ocuk have brilliantly arranged a replacement to be sent out for Monday without the need to send this back as its not cost effective. Before I lob it in the bin just wondering if this could be saved so if it happens in future I can try fix them. Im thinking that it would be very difficult to rebend it.

It's a little hard to see it in the pic because of the glare, but from what I can see it looks pretty damaged. heatsinks are very cheap just get another one.

Give it a try, you're only going to throw it away anyway, right?

Just check for any cracks on the heatpipes and keep an eye on temps (if you do use it).

It'll probably still sit on the CPU socket fine but clearance with either a GPU or roof of the case could be an issue. I'd be tempted to wrap a kitchen towel around the contact plate (to protect it) and use a big-ass set of pliers and some ignorance to straiten it out. What you got to lose, except fingers? ;)

Was thinking of trying the old pliers trick will give it a bash see if it straightens out without breaking the pipes. there is a replacement on the way anyway but will keep the fan for sure incase the other one wears out.
